Life on the Rock
For several decades, Linda Carithers has captured the raw beauty of the Florida Keys and Everglades through her lens. Her journey into photography began as a deeply personal escape—after the loss of her sister, her mother gifted her a camera, unknowingly igniting a lifelong passion. Photography became more than an art; it was a way to heal, explore, and connect with the world around her.
Specializing in landscape and wildlife photography, Linda embraces a documentary style, allowing nature to tell its own story through her patient and meticulous eye. From breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the ocean to the dynamic movements of birds in flight and the ever-shifting cloud formations, her work encapsulates the essence of the untamed beauty that surrounds her.
Linda’s talent has earned her a place among some of the most respected photographers in the field. She has shared a photography show with the renowned Clyde Butcher, and her work is proudly displayed at the Key Largo Art Gallery and various locations throughout Ocean Reef Club.
Working primarily in the Upper Keys and Everglades, Linda approaches every shot with professionalism, creativity, and an unmatched enthusiasm for capturing nature’s fleeting moments. She does not photograph people, but her landscapes and wildlife images tell stories of their own—silent yet powerful testaments to the natural world.
There will be some images, that cannot be done in large format.
Peace and Stingrays,
Linda
